One of the best tool and always in demand by our staff, besides Firebug most impressive tool in itself, our second choice without a doubt is Crimson Editor an open-source multi-purpose text editor with easily customizable syntax highlighting and other fast, useful text processing features.

While it can serve as a good replacement for Notepad, it also offers many powerful features for programming languages such as HTML, C/C++, Perl and Java.

Crimson Editor is free and does a great job in coding ViArt templates,php and css. We are able to quickly see highlight css syntax and identify the line number as we go through the process of development a new theme.

Main feature that I personally enjoy is search and replace feature of Crimson Editor. Saves so much time trying to find something such as color code. For those of you planning to start an e-commerce or web-site we highly recommend to add this to your tool box.
